Helping you and children be the gift you came here to be – naturally

Is this belief limiting your potential?

We are often the last to hear what we say to ourselves.  We often repeat certain things for so long that we have accepted them as reality.  Fish see water last as that old saying goes.

Yesterday I was working at my other job.  I dropped something and the cap broke so I informed my manager.  She tried to fix it as I had which did not work.  The product was still good but not able to be sold to the buying public.  She asked me if I wanted it.  Out of my mouth without even thinking came these words:  “It doesn’t seem right that I should be rewarded for breaking something.”  That was obviously an unconscious rote belief that was running me.

I didn’t drop it or break it on purpose.  Each of us in the department drop things from time to time.  Sometimes product containers break and sometimes they don’t.  My conscious mind then kicked into gear internally.  That product was on my purchase list to try.  However, I still couldn’t accept it by allowing myself to speak up and change those words.

Later, being the coach I am, I started to examine where else in my life that limiting belief may be causing problems in my life.  I obviously learned that belief in my youth at some point.

Do you have that belief?  Do you think you can’t receive what you would like because of perceived mistakes or imperfections?  On the flip side, do you blame others for your own choices – conscious or unconscious?  Those ways of thinking and being represent a fixed mindset and limited possibilities.

What if everything is an opportunity for growth and learning?  What if a test score or test results are not meant to be emblazoned tattoos on one’s forehead that must be borne throughout life?  Conversely, what if stellar scores are not meant to be used as coasters but rather as benchmarks instead?  What if we are all meant to have a little of both from time to time in life to further our joy, growth and progress?

Everything you want in and for your life requires that you are able to receive it in body, mind and spirit: own it, be grateful for it and know you are already worthy of it.  God created you as an already worthy co-creator and flows through you every moment of every day.

How good a receiver are you?  Do you act on opportunities and ideas with gratitude as though you already believe in and embody positive results?

Do you have it yet?

“As soon as you trust yourself, you will know how to live.”
– Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

If you don’t trust others, you really just do not trust yourself.

That’s right. Read it again.

As a human, you are a projector of your own conscious and unconscious beliefs. Other people are mirrors. If you resonate with them or a particular situation, that means you have something inside you that is alike.

Let me explain further.

First of all, everything boils down to a choice between fear or love. Everything else is just an off-shoot of one of those primary energies.

Secondly, when you fully understand that you create your own reality based on your beliefs, feelings and actions you do or do not take, you are able to own your part in whatever happens in your life. This removes the victim mentality and energy.

Once you move from victim to empowered, which usually takes some inner-healing work rather than stuffing it all down or going into addiction, you reach a new level of understanding. You KNOW you can handle whatever comes. It can take many lifetimes or happen in an instant. This does not mean you won’t ever experience fear again. Life happens.

However, when you know you can handle whatever comes, you don’t spend a lot of time worrying about what will happen. You are free to be you and enjoy life and deal with whatever comes because it is what it is and you helped create it. Pick up the pieces and stay focused.

God is inside of you. You are the decider in your life. Your Soul (which is also you) is a spark of God’s greatness. Your Soul is ready to help you in ways you can’t even imagine. Miracles are all around you every day. Your job is to notice them, act on them and follow your guidance as you keep moving forward.

Do you have it yet? You are the only one who can stop you.

What are you waiting for? Go ahead, trust yourself! God does.

“It is done unto you as you believe.” – Matthew 8:13

“I thank whatever Gods may be
for my unconquerable Soul…
I am the master of my destiny;
I am the captain of my Soul.”
– From Invictus (Latin/unconquered)
By William Ernest Henley

Give Yourself Permission

Did you know that your belief system is mostly gifted to you by the time you are 5 to 7 years young? It’s true. The reasoning portion of the brain doesn’t start to develop until then. So most of what you learn prior to that age is given to you by those who are chartered with keeping you safe, able to fit in and “succeed” in life.

There can sometimes be a problem with this model, however, as limiting beliefs can be passed down from family members, teachers and others. For instance, were you taught that money doesn’t grow on trees even though money is made from trees? Were you taught that you had to be seen and not heard and speak only when spoken to? Was being loved equated with being what others wanted you to be even if it didn’t make you happy or feel like you?

What if your adult life is a journey to becoming your true self and being true to yourself while helping others and the world if that is what you choose? What if all it takes in each moment is to be present and true to your true self? What if connecting with and following your own guidance leads to miracles?

Jesus said all that he did so could we and more. So why don’t we believe we can walk on water or turn water into wine? Why don’t we take for granted magically miraculous things that connect us to the infinite God source that surges through each and every being? What if giving yourself permission is the start of something fabulous in your life?

Here are some things to ponder for yourself, your children if you have any and anyone with whom you would like to share.

• Are you allowed to be powerful and successful even if other people aren’t or don’t want you to be?
• Are you allowed to be beautiful inside and out?
• Are you allowed to be sexy?
• Are you allowed to lift the ceiling on how much you can earn doing what you love to do?
• Are you allowed to receive miracles from your divine source even if others don’t believe in such things?
• Are you allowed to create boundaries to protect yourself from family members or others who do not have your highest interests at heart?
• Are you allowed to love unconditionally if you choose?
• Are you allowed to forgive yourself or others even if most people hold grudges and think you should too?
• Are you allowed to create and receive what your heart desires even if others don’t?
• Are you allowed to create the life you desire even if there is suffering in the world?
• Are you allowed to speak your truth regardless of how others may react or disagree?
• Are you allowed to be the essence of God you are and the gift you came here to be?

If not, why not?

The Legend of Two Wolves speaks of the struggle that goes on inside each of us.

Give yourself permission if that is what YOU choose. The greatest courage you will ever need is to be the gift you came here to be. If you need a little help moving forward, coaching is great tool. Feel free to contact me and gift yourself or your child with a complimentary coaching consultation today. You deserve the life of your dreams. Don’t let limited thinking hold you back.

Give yourself permission.

Enjoy infinite blessings,

Dance with the New – A Dream Interpretation

Do you pay attention to your dreams?

I had a dream the other night just before waking. In the dream, I was watching a young man dance with the energy around him. Pretty soon a young woman appeared in front of him and was dancing with him in the same energy. Then someone on his right, and then many others on his left.

Dream interpretation is a very personal thing. Dreams are a metaphor for aspects of ourselves. They show us what’s going on in our lives combined with what our intuition is trying to tell us.

Many years ago I had requested of my consciousness that dreams I needed to remember be shared right before I awaken. So I always take note of dreams I have just before I wake up.

How I interpret this particular dream may be different than your interpretation of my dream. However, if you receive a gift here on either dream interpretation or something more specific to benefit your life, this story was worth sharing.

Now back to my dream. Since I was watching all of this and not participating in the dance, I was the observer. Could I be observing too much in my life and not participating enough?

The young man represented my male energy; the go-getter, results-oriented, type-A aspect of myself. However, he was going with the flow while still being intuitive enough to notice the subtle signs of the dance. Something I don’t always tend to do under stress or a self-imposed deadline.

The young woman that appeared represented my feminine energy; the receiver of life and birth of the new joining to bring it into form as a dance in life – or achieve results gracefully and joyfully from the heart.

As other people began to appear in the dance, I felt connected to something larger than just the dance I was doing.

Being a very sensitive and intuitive person with a background in the corporate sector, integration of both of these aspects within myself has not always been easy. I sometimes go to one extreme or the other. Hopefully this dream was telling me that I have integrated these aspects energetically and now I just need to go with the flow and follow the signs to bring it into form gracefully.

There could perhaps be an additional message in the dream to manage stress more effectively.

How are you enjoying your dance? Need a little assistance? Feel free to comment, share or contact me.

Security From The Inside Out

I had a thought this morning in the midst of survival mode that the feeling of security is often sought outside of us.  Stocks are called securities.  Anyone who suffered great loss during the depression or the internet bubble would no longer believe stocks or bonds provide lasting security.  Anyone affected by the economic downturn around 2008 would certainly not say one’s security is their home since many ended up homeless.

It is said that we each come into and exit this world alone.  While a baby or departing loved one may not be physically alone in the delivery room or a hospice room, the actual birth or death is only experienced by the individual arriving or exiting this thing called life.

In God We Trust was printed on the currency of the United States by our very wise forefathers and founders.  Here are some questions for you to ponder from your own heart and soul.  Please take some time to really think about this exercise.  If you don’t have time right now, please revisit later when you do.

▪       Do you believe in God?

▪       If yes, what does God – the actual essence of God, mean, look or feel like to you?

▪       If you don’t believe in God or a Higher Power, why not?  What do you believe in?

▪       Regardless of your answers above, in what do you trust?

▪       In whom do you trust?

▪       Do you trust yourself?  Regardless of your answer, why?

Your age and life experiences will play a huge factor in your answers above.  However deeply ingrained your religious affiliation and beliefs are in you and your family will most likely influence your answers as well.

Let go and let God is another popular saying.  I read a Facebook post one time that wisely said it is difficult to let go until you forgive – including yourself.  Forgiveness, I believe, was the heart of what Jesus taught.  His last words were, “Father, forgive them, they know not what they do.”

In the movie Wall Street, Money Never Sleeps, Michael Douglas’ character Gordon Gekko tells his daughter that “You have to forgive.  People are a mixed bag.”

The wounds you and every other person have not yet healed are stored as memories in the unconscious mind.  The job of the unconscious mind is to protect you from what you consciously or unconsciously believe to be harmful to you or sometimes others.  It doesn’t have to be true for anyone else; it just has to be true for you.  You may have adopted that unconscious belief as a child, taken it on from a relative or life experience or brought it with you to heal from another lifetime.  As Carl Jung said, “When an inner situation is not made conscious, it appears outside as fate.”

I believe we each have a great destiny – whatever that means to each and every one of us.  Your destiny may be to be a great and loving Mom.  It may be to help change the world in a positive way through a book you write or donations you make.  Every destiny is as unique as every person.  No two are alike – just different.  So why do we always compare ourselves to others and so often come up lacking or better than?

An Old Cherokee Legend about Two Wolves states we have a choice between fear and love.  Having grown up in the Catholic tradition I was taught something similar; that there is an Angel whispering in one ear and the devil in the other ear always vying for my attention.

The truth is that here on Earth we have emotions of manipulation that are used by all of us.  They are used to distract ourselves and others in order to feel safe and not move forward as who we truly are meant to be to achieve our destiny.  Emotions of manipulation are used to keep ourselves and others stuck or easily controlled through fear and feelings of lack – so we can feel “safe.”

It is time to see, feel and live beyond externally contrived limitations and connect with your soul.  This is essential if you prefer to achieve your destiny rather than succumb to your fate.

What does living your destiny rather than settling for fate mean to you?

Nelson Mandela is a fabulous example of a soul who stayed connected to his destiny through great long-term adversity.  In the movie Invictus directed by Clint Eastwood, Mr. Mandela was said to recite every night certain lines from the poem Invictus by William Ernest Henley as follows:

“…I thank whatever Gods may be
for my unconquerable soul…

I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.”

I believe a true sense of security comes from our connection to God through our individual soul.  Each and every soul and animal is God as an individualized being.  The breath is our direct connection to our soul.  Breathe deeply and feel security from the inside out.  Do what you must do in the world of action steps with intelligence and common sense, but keep your connection to God (if you believe) and your soul with faith, joy and gratitude.  You are a spark of God’s greatness like no other.  Rejoice and be free.

To your grace-filled destiny.

Enjoy infinite blessings.

Cheryl

P.S.  Every time I write or hear the line “do you believe,” I think of little Drew Barrymore in the film E.T. saying to her Mom in the film who is reading a children’s story to her “I believe! I believe!”  Children remember their connection unless it’s coaxed out of them.  Call forth the child in you and live in joy.
